Change Over Celebration - Thank you to each of you.

I would like to thank everyone in the club and their partners, families and friends for their involvement this year.
I hope you have all enjoyed the year and feel that we “as a club” have seen some significant achievements in spite of Covid, or perhaps because of Covid. I am especially pleased that the Club functioned beautifully in spite of the disruptive nature of the year.

It is a testament to you all.     (A summary of  our achievements is is available under read more).
DG Jon Bilson Inducted Alta Terblanche (Pictured) & Mark Chia .
He welcomed Alan Nash as an Honorary Member of our club and awarded a Paul Harris pin to his assistant via zoom for their contributions to the people of his Island and surrounds in the Philippines.
He also awarded 2 Paul Harris pins with sapphire to club members Geoff Smith and Dave Musarra.
Our Club will be led for the next twelve months by the very accomplished David Musarra PHF+ who by day runs Qbit Computers a business which helps other businesses succeed by managing and enhancing their IT who has a clearly defined plan for us during the coming year.

Welcome President David - Congratulations
Presidents Report for the Year Ended 30th June, 2020:
My role as president for this year came both unexpectedly and early, in May, and I would like to begin by thanking all members for stepping into their roles  as quickly and willingly as you did at the time.
After the success of our 70th Celebration we set out to make sure we had fun this year while we worked on our projects.  We toured the Duyfken, enjoyed a dinner to  celebrate a new member’s induction and a few Paul Harris Fellows.  Christmas in the Park was fun.
Our Rotaract Club of Subiaco had fallen away to nothing and this year with assistance from  many Rotarians it has risen from nil to something that is fun and growing successfully.

Our Community Director has been busy following up the progress of the Homeless Hub and Greenbatch.
We have assisted the Perth Inner City Youth Services, Give Write, Dressed for Success and Socks for Street Homeless People.

We have continued our involvement in International Youth Exchange.  We have one outbound, Jasmine Hunt who is in Sweden and our inbound who is from Sweden Felicia Dahlstrom who is absolutely delightful and has learned much about herself-

Our work in the Philippines goes on and we have supported Shelterbox.

Other programs we had involvement with are:
The Four Way Speaking Test,
National Youth Science Forum
Covid has really impacted our Rotary Youth Programmes.
Fundraising for the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space is complete.

Future Events:
Not only do we have a President Elect with a very experienced business head and a clearly defined plan for us during the coming year, but we also have a very experienced Presidential nominee in Wilma McBain OAM.
So, I think our Club is in extremely good hands for the next couple of years;
Something by the way I think we share with District.

Thanks:
