He has well-developed leadership skills with a collaborative approach to create a positive and productive workplace culture.

As a not-for-profit organisation,  Brightwater recognises the important role that research plays in improving the lives of our clients, as well as the health of the broader Community.  Our research priorities include brain health, ageing well, brain injury rehabilitation, independence, dementia care, quality of life, Huntington’s Disease and nutrition.

Hayley belieives music can support cultural and personal connections, reduce isolation and facilitate social interactions. It encourages verbal communication, improves alertness and stimulates memories. Music can also reduce feelings of pain and distress and improve cognition. Hayley will speak to you about Brightwater’s successful program, the Music Pharmacy.

ECU Melanoma Research

Associate Professor Elin Gray is a Cancer Council WA Research Fellow, Melanoma Research Group Leader at the School of Medical and Health Sciences, and Deputy Director of the Centre for Precision Health, at Edith Cowan University.

Elin completed a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Havana, Cuba, and obtained her PhD degree at University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. She was a visiting Fogarty Fellow at the Vaccine Research Centre at the NIH, Maryland; and at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. Prof. Gray moved to Perth in 2011.
