My Journey as a Military Historian

Born in Melbourne, 1945, Peter Hopper trained as a Primary School teacher and was called up for National Service in 1965. He served as an Artillery Surveryor in Vietnam from 1967. In 1975, he completed a Honours degree (History) at the University of Western Australia. From 1976 to 1986, Peter taught History at Christ Church Grammar School. He also taught in Zimbabwe and Perth Modern School until 2005. Since 2005, he has been the President of Subiaco-Shenton Park RSL Sub Branch, and an active member of military history societies, sporing bodies, and clubs.
