The Dream - A play space for everyone. A play space for anyone.

And now our dream is coming true.  The Jo Wheatley All-Abilities Play Space is open for fun, for playing together, for adventure and for dreams.

Stage 1 was opened on June 7th, 2018 and the play space received its name from its major benefactors Jo and Vern Wheatley.

Immediately the adults and children present put the space to the test - and we have photos of the City of Nedlands Mayor, Max Hipkins, and Bill Marmion, the local member of Parliament testing out swings, slides and the flying fox.

As the weeks have passed we see more and more people enjoying the playground with parents and grandparents, siblings and friends.

Verity James walks us around the site.

Justin Langer sends his love to the project.

We're not finished!

Stage 1 of the Play Space is done but there is more to do.

Stage 2 includes a fully equipped toilet block with facilities for disabled adults and children. There are also more play areas offering more sensory experiences and better and more inclusive signage.

And that means you still have an opportunity to be part of this wonderful venture.
